Tia and Celeste Bralette Inspiration

Updated: Feb 4, 2023

Having a catalogue of simple pattern shapes is a must for any sewer. These block shapes can be the start of some really exciting designs. Our Tia triangle bra and Celeste bralette are a great starting point for soft cup bra design. We have complied a list of some different ways to make the designs your own.

Lace Edge

Adding a lace trim or a picot elastic to the cup edges can really elevate the look. Go for a chic colour blocking look or a fun mix and match with print and lace.

Statement Print

A statement print or a bold lace are fun ways to make the simple bralette shape more interesting. This leopard embroidery from Fleur of England is a perfect example of how to make a triangle bra a statement piece.

Added Extras

Add a frill, some extra strapping or some big bows. Make a simple design, an extra look by embellishing and adding fun elements.

Hardware

Chunky hardware can make a look more grunge or elevate it to more luxe level. A good place to start designing a hardware lead piece is to take a wonder around your local haberdashery or market and see if any bits catch your eye.

Classic Black

Keep it simple and use a soft, black jersey or stretch satin. While this is a more clean, simple design, it can look very chic and luxe. You can also change the feel of the design with your fabric choice, for example this GAP bralette is £22.95 while the Myla version is £125.

Which option is your favourite? Do you prefer a the Tia triangle or the Celeste bralette?
